Side with Love Book Recommendations

As we head into the end of 2018 -- for some of us, holiday and feasting and loved ones; and for others of us, work and loneliness and doubt; and for many of us, some of both -- we are sending love for the justice work we do every day and who we each are.

We want to share some of the books and songs that have been getting us through - new things that blew our hearts and minds wide open and old ones that still shake us up in the best way.

December 20th Meeting: In the Realm of the Hungry Ghosts @ Lauralee's

Hi and Happy Holidays, BUF Readers!

We will be meeting this month, Thursday, December 20th, at Lauralee's home: 2212 40th Street, near Lake Padden off Samish Way.  First driveway on the left as you come uphill from Samish Way.

Please bring your copy of the book to return to the library.  If you can't make it, please make sure it is in the plastic box in BUF's workroom by the morning of the 20th.

I hope you will arrive early, about 6:30, to enjoy a bit of holiday cheer.  I'll have warm drinks and a few goodies out.

Unfortunately, Murray, Claire, Bonnie and Heidi cannot attend. It will be a small group, but we'll need to keep on schedule with the book kits, so rescheduling is not an option.

Looking forward to seeing those of you who can come.  Will you please RSVP and let me know?

Thank you,

Lauralee

P.S. This post's title is misleading; there may be some hungry ghosts at my house, but mainly good cheer!

Next Thursday the 15th, we'll share ideas about Michael Christie's  Greenwood , a magnificent family saga covering many years. Chris...
